Grow and succeed in life by being intentional and tracking your progress.
Hey there, this is Joe Peoples from Reinhart Realty. I’ve got to share something with you—I’ve hit day 15 of the 75 Hard Challenge, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. If you’re not familiar with it, the 75 Hard Challenge isn’t only about lifting weights or running marathons—it’s all about mental toughness. And let me tell you, the requirements are straightforward but not always easy.
It’s all about discipline—two workouts a day, one of which has to be outdoors. But don’t worry, my second workout today is going to be something fun, like country line dancing! Along with the workouts, there’s the water intake (a gallon a day) and reading ten pages of nonfiction from an actual book.
You might be wondering, What’s all this got to do with real estate? Well, let me tell you about a book I’ve been reading called “Outlive” by Peter Attia. It’s all about taking charge of your health, being informed, and being proactive.
Peter talks about how, in healthcare, we often start treating diseases after they’ve taken hold—but what if we could be proactive instead? That’s where tracking comes in. Think about Thomas Edison and the light bulb—dozens of failed attempts before success. It’s all about learning from what doesn’t work.
Another book, “So Good They Can’t Ignore You,” by Cal Newport, an MIT graduate, talks about tracking in the context of career development. It’s all about intentional effort and tracking progress. In the book’s epilogue, he talks about how to actually move your career forward and be so good at it that people can’t ignore you.
Last but not least, there’s “The Prosperous Coach” by Steve Chandler, which focuses on business growth. What he did was sit down with a coach who was trying to grow their business, and he’d ask them to pull out their calendar to see how much time they had spent in meaningful conversations intentionally.
The common thread? Tracking. You want to know where you are and then have insight into your progress moving forward. This is the key to achieving greatness, growing your business, and gaining security.
That’s why I’m hosting a virtual workshop on March 27. I want to share three tools with you that can give you the same insights I’ve gained. Whether you’re in real estate, business, or career development, having tools for tracking progress can make all the difference.
So, if you’re ready to take control of your business and set yourself up for success, join me for the workshop. You can also call or send me an email to learn more about the details of this program. Let’s make strides together and build the future we envision. See you there!
