Your habits can help you execute your business plan. Here’s how.
Recently, I read a great book titled “Tiny Habits” by BJ Fogg. Basically, the author’s message is that to gain success, you’ll need to work around your habits. I want to build on that idea and talk about how the success of your business plan is directly correlated with your ability and, ultimately, your habits. I’ll do that by enumerating the different components of ability:
1. Time. For any activity in your business plan, you need to have the time to execute it.
2. Money. When executing your business plan, identify a target audience, pick the things that you can do to reach them, and of course, you must have the budget to actually execute them.
3. Physical energy. You need the physical energy to do the work and be present.
4. Mental energy. You must have the mental energy to stick with your plan and execute those activities.
5. Habits. The more we lean into habits that support our business, the easier it will be to execute our plan.
